How Income is Used

As a Section 501(c)(3) charitable organization, Sister-to-Sister, Inc. ensures that received income is wisely spent. Less than 15 percent of dues, donations, and other income is used for administrative overhead. A portion of all income, with the exception of that designated by a grantor or sponsor for a specific programming purpose or operations, is set aside to fund programming and educational scholarships. Once established, a chartered chapter will receive a prorated share of membership dues, based on the chapter's membership enrollment.
