Sister-to-Sister: International Network of Professional African American Women, Inc.™ (Sister-to-Sister, Inc.) launched in January 2021.  It succeeded Sister-to-Sister, an informal network of Black women formed in January 1994.  Sister-to-Sister, Inc.’s vision, mission, and purpose statements follow. The tax-exempt public charity, incorporated in Colorado, has members in and outside the U.S.  A one-of-its-kind organization, Sister-to-Sister, Inc. offers life-enriching, shared life, spaces for Onyx women and girls through support, education, networking, mentoring.

To advance equity in all aspects of Black women and girls' lives through community, vital education, scholarship, social connectivity, emotional support, networking, and forums to showcase their creativity in a global environment.

Marketing & Communications

Help build a marketing and communications platform that includes developing strategies and materials (newsletters, brochures, and email blasts) to message Sister-to-Sister, Inc.’s vision, mission, purpose, events, services, and benefits to prospective members, donors, and sponsors.  In a nutshell, the platform and materials are to broaden awareness through messaging to connect with online and in-person audiences.

Program Development

Help develop and establish programs through which to advance Sister-to-Sister, Inc.’s vision, mission, purpose, and goals. [Project-based; a project is expected to take four (4) months, or less.]

Event Planning

Help Sister-to-Sister, Inc.  to create ideas for, plan and execute in-person and virtual events and activities.  Events may be designed to partner with organizations with similar missions, purposes, and goals. [Project-based; a project is expected to take two (2) to three (3) months, or less.]

Fundraising

Help Sister-to-Sister, Inc. raise funds to support scholarships, youth mentoring, and educational, wellness, and other programming to enrich Black females’ lives, enhance families’ well-being, and promote initiatives aimed at advancing communities.  Create fundraising strategies, design promotional materials, and outreach to potential donors and sponsors. [Project-based; a project is expected to take two (2) to three (3) months, or less.]

Charter Chapter Formation & General Management

Help Sister-to-Sister, Inc. expand its reach and further its pursuit of enriching Black women and girls’ lives, globally, through formed chartered chapters. Create an effective Outreach Plan by compiling data on geographical areas with large Black populations; developing an informational resource bank containing names of and contact information for media outlets to pursue no-cost exposure; and assembling email contact lists for local, statewide, and regional grassroots, nonprofit associations, ministerial groups, and educational institutions (particularly HCBUs and Minority Serving Institutions).  [Project-based with two (2) phases; phase one involving construction of an Outreach Plan is projected take three (3) months and the projected completion time for implementation of the Outreach Plan is one (1) to two (2)  months.]

Social Media Content

Help Sister-to-Sister, Inc. by providing content for its website, newsletters, email blasts, and social media platforms.  We seek information on current events, articles of interest to Black females/communities, entertainment and social events across the U.S. and world, and information likely to promote physical, emotional, and/or emotional wellness.  [Ongoing for the length of time that is volunteered.]
